Keagan Wilbur Buchanan is a South African footballer who currently plays for Cape Town Spurs in the DStv Premiership. Buchanan has previously played for Bloemfontein Celtic, Kaizer Chiefs, Maritzburg United and AmaZulu before rejoining his childhood club, the Urban Warriors in 2023.

He’s popular amongst fans of football not just for his skills on the pitch, but his eye for detail when it comes to his fashion choices. The midfielder is popular for his style and how he has incorporated “streetwear” into his wardrobe.

In an interview with Nounouche magazine, Buchanan stated that the players who inspired him while he was growing up were Benni McCarthy, Shaun Bartlett, Quentin Fortune and Steven Pienaar. He went further on to say that playing under legends like McCarthy and Bartlett was an honour for his career.

Buchanan has made 13 appearances for Spurs this season. When the skilful midfielder joined Spurs, he expressed how his experience will be beneficial for the team.

“Being a more experienced player, I’ll be there to help them adapt, try to help players. My game is to bring out the best in other people.”
