Mokeke thanks Spurs for short stint
Following his departure from Cape Town Spurs at the end of the campaign, Thato Mokeke has expressed gratitude to the Urban Warriors for his short stint with the club.
Spurs signed the 33-year-old on a short-term contract following his release from Cape Town City, where he suffered what seemed to be an injury that would put an end to his season.
His stay spanned seven matches, in which three were won, two drawn and two were losses as the team finished 16th in the DStv Premiership.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank the chairman Alexi, the coaches Ernst and Vasili, goalkeeper coach Moses, physio Rayno, Riedo fitness trainer and lastly the players for welcoming me. Enjoyed the last 3 months after a long time and I wish you all the best for next season,” wrote Mokeke on social media.
Mokeke has made 250 appearances in top-flight football, representing SuperSport United, Chippa United, Cape Town City and Cape Town Spurs since making his debut in 2010.
