Spurs maintain unbeaten start at Milford

Cape Town Spurs maintained their unbeaten start to the Motsepe Foundation Championship season when they drew 0-0 with Milford at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The draw left the Urban Warriors placed third on the league standings having collected five points from their first three matches and they are also yet to concede a single goal.

Coach Ernst Middendorp’s side will now play host to Hungry Lions on 20 September and it will be an opportunity for the Spurs to bounce back to winning ways.

There were no goals in the first-half which saw both Spurs and Milford create chances without converting them, and the score was 0-0 at half-time.

The hosts decided to refresh their attack seven minutes into the second-half as Mjabulise Mkhize replaced Bhekani Mthiyane.

However, the two teams were unable to find the back of the net on the day and ultimately, the match ended in a 0-0 draw as the two teams shared the spoils in Durban.
