Butsaka bids goodbye to Urban Warriors

Chumani Butsaka has agreed a deal to join Stellenbosch FC in the Betway Premiership, and the player has taken the time to bid farewell to the club and its fans for his journey.

The midfielder featured for Cape Town Spurs 28 times across all competitions last season, scoring one goal and providing three assists.

Butsaka addressed the fact that there has been speculation about the club’s talents during the transfer window and even gave advice to the young players.

“Be patient, and just trust the process,” he said.

“Whatever you do, God knows when it’s the right time. Just keep praying and stay positive and just tell yourself it’s going to happen.”

Making a move to Stellies is a step-up for the young player, and he shared that he’s keen on developing his career even further with the Western Cape outfit.

“I’m going to bring energy, they can use me anywhere. That’s the nice thing, and with the ability I have I think I can fit in quite well,” he continued.

“I need to make baby steps and my dream is to play for Bafana Bafana and go overseas.”
