Spurs face defeat against Leruma 

Cape Town Spurs lost 2-0 against Leruma United in the Motsepe Foundation Championship on Saturday afternoon at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.

The match started off well, with Cape Town Spurs challenging. The Urban Warriors did well to avoid conceding too early and Leruma United were denied two opportunities to score.

Opportunities were presented for Cape Town Spurs to get back into the game, but unfortunately the team were challenged on the left hand side by the Leruma wing.

The first stanza ended with Spurs falling behind with some work to do in the second period. Ultimately, the Urban Warriors were unlucky to concede again despite playing well.

The match ended with Leruma taking home all three points, with the international break to follow soon, Spurs will be back in action against Upington City in the MFC on 20 October.
