Spurs still seeking win in JDR clash

Cape Town Spurs will be in action for their next Motsepe Foundation Championship match against JDR Stars on Friday afternoon at the Athlone Stadium.

Kick-off is at 15h30 CAT.

The Urban Warriors are currently in 14th position on the log, but with 11 matches played there is ample time for the team to rise higher up the table.

Their opponents, JDR Stars are in fifth position tied on the same amount of points as Durban City and Black Leopards (19).

With the team’s current league position, there has been speculation regarding coach Ernst Middendorp, but these have been clarified by CEO Alexi Efstathiou.

“We carry on as is. This is not a two-week project, it’s a five-year project, so we just carry on,” he said to KickOff.com.
