Spurs defeated by JDR Stars

Cape Town Spurs were unfortunately defeated 1-0 by JDR Stars at the Athlone Stadium on Friday afternoon in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. 

The team went into the fixture seeking a win as there has been a bit of a winless run in recent days, however the Capetonian outfit’s efforts were unsuccessful. 

Spurs conceded in the first half when JDR Stars took the lead through Ishmael Wadi. Matters remained the same until the half-time whistle, giving the Urban Warriors plenty of work to do in the upcoming stanza.

The second half did not produce any more goals and the match ended with the Urban Warriors losing 1-0 in Cape Town. The result sees the team remain in 14th place in the MFC standings.
