Spurs join Sundowns and Stellenbosch in Kapstadt Cup

Cape Town Spurs are set to compete in the 2025 Kapstadt Cup, which is affiliated to Cape Town Tygerberg LFA and SAFA Cape Town.

The year’s prestigious event will take place during the school holidays, with the tournament set to be run between the 8th and 12th of October.

Spurs are among the 33 teams that will compete in the competition, which features age groups: U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U14, U16 and U23.

Stellenbosch FC, and Gauteng-based sides Mamelodi Sundowns and University of Pretoria are poised to take part in the 2025 Kapstadt Cup.

The tournament organisers have confirmed that one of the new match venues for 2025 will be the SANDF Wynberg Military Base in Wynberg.

Kapstadt Cup have also secured Mitre Africa as a partner ahead of this year’s edition.

Therefore, official FA Cup match Mitre balls, which are FIFA Pro Match Ball quality, will be used during the competition.

A draw for the tournament will soon be conducted.
