Spurs take aim at wounded Ubuntu
Cape Town Spurs will play host to Ubuntu Football Club in the 2025/26 ABC Motsepe League Western Cape Stream A match on Saturday.
Kick-off is at 15h00.
The matchday three fixture is set to take place at Spurs’ state-of-the-art home, Ikamva, as the Urban Warriors look to return to winning ways.
Spurs dropped points for the first time this season when they lost 2-0 to Young Bafana away last weekend, with Sebastian Lucas and Shamil Paul scoring for the hosts.
The Urban Warriors find themselves placed sixth in Stream A standings, having accumulated three points from their first two matches in the local third tier.
A win for coach Nasief Morris’ side against Ubuntu would see the Ikamva side maintain a 100 per cent win record at home and also bounce back to winning ways.
Meanwhile, Ubuntu are licking their wounds at the moment, having suffered a 2-1 defeat to Zizwe United at home last weekend.
Ubuntu are placed seventh in Stream A standings, having also accumulated three points from their first two matches, including a win over Inter City FFF on matchday one.
Spurs and Ubuntu met twice in the National First Division during the 2018/19 season.
The two teams drew 1-1 before Spurs won 2-1 in the reverse fixture.
