Spurs look to bounce back at Seaside

Cape Town Spurs will be on the road as they take on Seaside Spurs in the 2025/26 ABC Motsepe League Western Cape on Friday.

Kick-off is at 19h30.

The Stream A matchday four fixture is scheduled to be played at the Ocean View Sports Complex, which is located in the west of Cape Town’s central business district.

Spurs were held to a 1-1 draw by Ubuntu Football Club at home on matchday three last weekend and the Urban Warriors are now winless in their last two matches.

The Urban Warriors find themselves placed fourth in Stream A standings, having accumulated four points from their first three matches in the South African third tier.

A victory for coach Nasief Morris’ side over Seaside would see the two-time Carling Knockout (PSL League Cup) champions climb to the top of the standings if the other results go their way.

Meanwhile, Seaside are brimming with confidence at the moment after securing a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Young Bafana away on matchday three last weekend.

It was a game which saw Damian Basadien and Sinemthemba Cheesy (brace) hit the back of the net to earn Seaside their first victory of the season.

Seaside are placed fifth in Stream A standings, having also accumulated four points from their first three matches, including a draw against FN Rangers on matchday one.

This will be the first-ever league fixture between Cape Town Spurs and Seaside Spurs.
