Spurs eye victory at rock-bottom Rovers

Cape Town Spurs will be determined to return to winning ways in the ABC Motsepe League Western Cape Stream A on Friday.

The Urban Warriors are set to travel to the Heideveld Sports Complex, where they are set to take on Junction Rovers AFC in a matchday eight fixture.

Kick-off is at 19h30. 

Spurs resumed their league campaign with a 1-1 draw against their old foes, Santos FC, at the William Herbert Sports Ground on January 28.

Therefore, the Urban Warriors are placed 10th in the  ABC Motsepe League Western Cape Stream A standings with six points from six matches. 

A victory over Junction would see coach Nasief Morris’s side move up the standings and edge closer to the pacesetters in the battle for the league championship.

Meanwhile, Rovers succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Ubuntu FC away in their most recent match, which was played on January 31.
