Ajax Cape Town Fans, Thank You!

With the dust having finally settled on the 2016-17 Premier Soccer League season, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the Urban Warriors faithful for their everlasting support.

It was a tough season, filled with the occasional ups and downs, but our fans remained by our side – notable showcasing their support by taking on a 30 hour journey by bus to cheer on Stanley Menzo’s troops in Mdantsane.

CEO Ari Efstathiou has reserved special praise for the Urban Warriors fans as we now set our sights on coming back stronger next season.

“Most importantly, we have to thank the fans because they have been unbelievable, completely loyal and committed to the club,” said Efstathiou.

“It was proven when they boarded a bus to East London and came to support the team when we desperately needed a result. Don’t give up, we will come back and we will come back strong.

“The club needs the fans to survive and that is the most important ingredient of any club. We are very grateful to have a fan base like we do have. We know it is huge in Cape Town and we have know doubt that with a few more results there will be more coming to the stadium.

“For those who attended virtually every game: from Ajax Cape Town, we thank you – we can only say that we can’t do without you.”

Preparations for the 2017-18 season have already kicked-off with the First Team to return to training on the 3rd of July.
