Bartlett: We can compete
Cape Town Spurs coach Shaun Bartlett is confident that his young Urban Warriors outfit can compete in the DStv Premiership next season after extending his stay with the club.
After a gruelling end to the 2022/23 campaign that saw Spurs move up to the PSL, Bartlett recently penned a new two-year deal with the club.
Speaking on his extension, Bartlett mentioned that the club is now focused on doing well among some of the best teams in the land.
“It was a tough and long season but once we achieved our goal of getting promotion to the DStv Premiership, the next phase was to secure my future,” Bartlett said.
“I’m very ecstatic and delighted to have extended my stay by another two years.
“First year back in the Premiership with the club, we are obviously looking forward to that. We know it will be difficult but I think once we put a good squad together we can go and compete and maybe exceed expectations.”
