Spurs coach on recent signings 

Cape Town Spurs coach Shaun Bartlett has given his thoughts on building a competitive side ahead of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership campaign.  

The Urban Warriors recently concluded the signing of Keagan Buchanan, one of the most highly rated midfielders in the PSL currently. Also, Buchanan was part of the club’s infamous youth academy before becoming a professional footballer.  

In touching on signings made, Bartlett has his sights on creating a competitive environment for his players.  

“Pre-season has given me an opportunity to look at trialists to add to the squad because we need to freshen up in certain areas and make it competitive for players in every position,” Bartlett said.  

“We’ve also looked at a couple of loans from other clubs, we made a couple of signings in the last few weeks, which I feel will add more value to the team. 

“We need to get more quality into the team, which we’ve done thus far, We’re still looking to add a few more in certain positions.”
