Ernst Middendorp speaks on plans for second half of season

As the Urban Warriors look to change their fortunes in the second half of the DStv Premiership season, head coach Ernst Middendorp touched on the team’s mission going forward.

The team is currently at the bottom of the standings in the league and there is optimism from the coach that the second half of the season will yield better results.

“We have to look at the league and the position we are in and try to find solutions to have a better second half of the season in the remaining 14 games to have a chance to keep the PSL status alive,” said Middendorp.

Coach Middendorp touched on how the team not only has to be physically prepared for the next games that are coming up after the break, and also emphasised that mental preparation is equally as important.

According to the tactician, it will be vital to find players at this time who will rise above the circumstances and stand out to change the results. He is counting on the Urban Warriors to rise above the ashes and return to good form in order to stay in the top-flight.

“We need to have a clear structure and be very calm in these moments despite the position we are in the league,” he remarked.
