Radiopane and Stander injury update
Boitumelo Radiopane has given Cape Town Spurs a significant boost as they get ready for the season’s second round.
The player has made a comeback following a lengthy medical setback that kept him out of action for a prolonged period of time. Radiopane has since returned to training with the team and is optimistic about his recovery.
The youngster also highlighted how playing with his teammates during training has given him some extra motivation to get back to his best.
“Now that I’m progressing with some ball work, it’s getting easier and I’m looking forward to doing more,” he says.
The 21-year-old contributed to the Urban Warriors’ previous season’s promotion. With six goals in 22 games, he aided the team in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
As for Cohen Stander, he says his progress in recovery is going well so far as well but in regards to his return, he still has to get some more insight from the medical doctor.
“I’m feeling good, can’t complain, I just want to be out there. Obviously when I get back I want to make sure I get some game time and fight for my position again,” he says.
When coming to how the team is playing, Stander believes that the squad is not playing badly but rather they have been unlucky in terms of converting their chances.
“We’re not lucky. We create the chances but we don’t put them away. Most of the goals we’ve been conceding have been due to luck,” says Stander.
